Zana Zupur

Zana Zupur is an artist and printmaker based in Southern California. She has more than 25 years of experience in visual art and design and has focused on printmaking for the past 10 years. Zana studied Studio Art and Graphic Design at California State University, Long Beach, and has worked as a graphic designer and art director. She is the founder of Zana Art Studio.

Zana enjoys the physical process of printmaking, especially layering techniques and discovering unexpected results. She works with etching and aquatint, drypoint, monotype, collagraph, lithography and cyanotype. Her artwork includes portraits, flowers, cellular patterns, surreal landscapes, and symbolic forms from nature. She explores birth, memory, identity, transformation, vulnerability, resilience, and the connection between people and the natural world.

Zana's work has been exhibited in the United States and Europe. Her exhibition history includes the Irvine Fine Arts Center, Plaza de la Raza, Triton Museum of Art, Angels Gate Cultural Center, and the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art. Her work has appeared in Pressing Matters, a British printmaking magazine, and The Hand Magazine, a U.S. printmaking publication.

Zana is a member of the Los Angeles Printmaking Society, Lynk Collective, and the Orange County Fine Arts Association.
